The Principal London will open early 2018 following a multi-million pound refurbishment from top to toe.

Originally opened in 1898 by the Frederick Hotels Company, and designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll, The Principal London is a listed, landmark ‘grande dame’ that occupies the eastern flank of Russell Square in Bloomsbury. The Principal London will combine the rich heritage of the original hotel with modern touches, vibrant bars and buzzing restaurants.

Food and Drink Coordinator

The Food & Drink Coordinator role involves a wide range of duties including:

  • General administration of the Food & Drink department
  • Coordination of outlet reservations using third-party booking engines as well as table management systems and telephone reservations
  • Ensuring telephone coverage for all outlets during times when hosting teams are not on duty
  • Generating daily & weekly reports updating teams about daily activities in the relevant F&D outlets about booking levels, VIP and group bookings
  • Providing a liaison between rooms operations and F&D outlets, ensuring relevant information about day to day activities is passed on
  • Coordination of Group bookings in F&D Outlets (bookings of more than ten guests other than Meetings & Events)
  • Handling enquiries for group reservations in all outlets within the designated timeframe
  • Leasing with relevant outlet managers and culinary teams to ensure guests demands with group bookings are met with operationally feasible parameters
  • Assisting guests with menu choices, floral arrangements, menu printing and the general order of the event
